Jeffrey Fritz is the Director of Enterprise Network Services for the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). He is responsible for advanced network technology development and core network operations for the UCSF campuses.

Mr. Fritz has a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University and has played a key role in the implementation of Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN). He is the co-founder and Chair Emeritus of the North American ISDN Users' Forum Enterprise Network Data Interconnectivity Family (ENDIF.) He is also the past chair of the National Information Infrastructure Working Group (NIIWG.) This working group helped define the second-generation network known today as Internet 2.

Mr. Fritz is the author of "Remote LAN Access: a guide for networkers and the rest of us," published by Manning Publications/Prentice-Hall PTR and "Sensible ISDN Data Applications," now in its third printing, published by West Virginia University Press. He has been an instructor for the American Institute and Ziff Davis University.

Mr. Fritz regularly authors articles that appear in national publications such as Network World, Network Magazine, InfoWorld and Computer World magazines. He is a member of the CMP Publications Editorial Advisory board and the Network World Lab Alliance.
