You are not comparing apples to apples. If you pick the top sonicwall box and compare it to a mid level cisco box..... It looks like soncwall paid for this one. I have worked alot with sonicwall and found the stabilty to be pretty bad. When you put a load on thease boxes the crumble. Be aware thease tests are not with production data.

Most of the issues you had with the NSA seemed to be related to the management interface of the device. Were you rating this based on just the device or were you also testing their GMS software ?
