One For All has launched a new family of programmable remotes that are covered with circular stripes of rubber, which work both as buttons and shock protection, it announced at the IFA electronics show on Thursday.
The range includes three models: Protecto TV, Protecto 2 and Protecto 4.
The latter model is the most advanced, and is able to control up to four devices, including TVs, DVD players, satellite receivers and set-top boxes. It has orange stripes, while the rest of the remote is white. The Protecto 4 also features backlit keys and support for macros, making it possible to do several things with the click of a button.
The Protecto TV and Protecto 2 are identical in shape and size, and both are blue with grey stripes. The Protecto TV works as a replacement for broken or lost TV remotes, while Protecto 2 can besides a TV also control a set-top box, according to One For All. Just like the Protecto 4 they have support for macros.
Protecto 4 will be available in stores from September 4, and cost €29.99 (US$44), The Protecto 2 and the Protecto TV come in at €24.99 and €19.99, respectively.
